Ògo Àkúré Condoles Deji, Chiefs, People of Akure Over Olisa’s Death

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I received the news of the passing of Senior High Chief Femi Olubodun, the 18th Olisa of Akure Kingdom and the Traditional Prime Minister of the Ancient City of Akure.

His demise is a monumental loss to Akure Kingdom. As Olisa, he served with wisdom, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to the preservation of the rich cultural heritage, customs, and traditions of our people. His life of service and devotion to the Akure throne and Kingdom will remain an enduring source of inspiration.

On behalf of the Ògo Àkúré Mandate Group, I extend my heartfelt condolences to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, CFR, the Deji of Akure Kingdom; the Deji-in-Council; the Olisa-in-Council; the entire Ulisa people of Akure; the family of the late Olisa; and indeed all sons and daughters of Akure Kingdom on this painful loss.

The passing of the Traditional Prime Minister of our Kingdom is not only a loss to the traditional institution but to the entire Akure community, which benefited immensely from his wealth of experience, counsel, and commitment to peace and unity. His legacy of selfless service and dedication to the progress of Akure Kingdom will forever be remembered.

As we mourn this great icon, I pray that Almighty God grants His Imperial Majesty, the Royal Council, the bereaved family, and the entire people of Akure Kingdom the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

May Almighty God grants him eternal rest, and continue to preserve the unity, peace, and prosperity of our beloved Akure Kingdom.

Adieu, Baba Olisa. Your remarkable service to Akure Kingdom will never be forgotten.
