The Deejays Association of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter, has announced a new policy aimed at professionalizing the DJ industry across the state.
In a statement, the State Chairman, DJ Otentik, said all lounges, hotels, clubs, and bars in Ondo State are now expected to either recruit only DJAN registered DJs or ensure their current resident DJs become registered members of the association within a month.
According to the association, the move is part of efforts to regulate, protect, and promote the welfare of professional DJs while raising service standards in the entertainment industry.
KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE POLICY
DJAN noted that the initiative will help to:
- Ensure professionalism and discipline among DJs
- Create a vetted pool of certified talents for business owners
- Provide conflict resolution and mediation between management and DJs
- Promote compliant establishments on official DJAN platforms and state events
- Offer legal protection under the association’s code of conduct
BENEFITS FOR REGISTERED DJs
Members will receive State and National ID Cards, branded DJAN jackets, and gain access to state-wide gigs, training, networking, and welfare support.
The association also emphasized unity, improved branding, and professional conduct as core benefits.
Speaking further, the State PRO, DJ Boi Rapper urged all stakeholders to cooperate in building a stronger and more united entertainment industry in Ondo State.
Business owners have been advised to contact the State Secretariat through the listed exco members for registration and verification of DJs.
