We’ll Support Ondo To Lift More Citizens Out Of Poverty — Humanitarian Affairs Minister
The Federal Government has assured Ondo State of its readiness to partner with the state government in reducing poverty and improving the welfare of citizens in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s development agenda.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard Doro, gave the assurance during an event hosted by the governor for Monarchs at the government house Alagbaka Akure.
Dr. Doro noted that although Ondo State is not among the worst-hit states in terms of poverty levels, the ministry will intensify efforts to ensure the state fully benefits from federal intervention programmes.

Responding, the Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, thanked the minister for his drives nothing that president Bola Tinubu has graciously improved the nation’s economy which paved way for Ondo to be more appreciated traditional rulers in the state for sustaining peace in their domains.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing an enabling environment, infrastructural development, and security of lives and property.
Earlier, a former Deputy Governor of the state, Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru, and the member representing Ondo West/East Federal Constituency, Dr Abiola Makinde, commended the ongoing infrastructural development across Akure and other parts of the state, urging the governor to sustain the momentum.

Also the Olowo of Owo Oba Ajibade Oguntoye while speaking on behalf of the monarchs in the state pledged support for government at all levels.
The event was attended by several royal fathers, including the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, political appointees, and members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, among others.
