Respect National Symbols, Don’t Spray Naira At Public Functions– Ondo NOA Boss

The Director , National Orientation Agency , NOA , Ondo State , Mr. James Adekunle has cautioned Nigerians against abuse of the national currency and other symbols of national identity.

Mr. Adekunle gave the caution while featuring on a Radio Nigeria special program in Akure to commemorate the National Ordinance Day.

He emphasized that national symbols remained the unifying elements of the country and must be protected with pride.

Mr Adekunle listed the Nigerian flag, coat of arms, international passport, and currency as critical symbols that should be safeguarded and accorded dignity at all times.

According to the NOA State director , Nigerians must serve as good ambassadors by according respect to the national emblems.

Speaking on the need to protect the naira, the NOA boss condemned the spraying and selling of currency at social functions, describing the act as disrespectful to the national identity urging traders to desist from mutilating or mishandling the naira during transactions.

He harped on showing greater respect for the national passport, anthem, and pledge, noting that they inspired patriotism, integrity, and commitment to nation-building.
