Ògo Àkúré Mandate Group Calls On Residents of Akure South & Akure North to Participate In INEC Continuous Voter Registration (CVR)

The Ògo Àkúré Mandate Group (ÒAMG) has called on all eligible residents of Akure South and Akure North Local Government Areas to take full advantage of the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

The Convener of the Group, Comrade Ayodeji DF. Oluleye, emphasized that voter registration is the first and most important step in strengthening democratic participation and ensuring that the voices of the people of Akure are heard at the ballot.

According to him, the exercise provides opportunities for:

First-time voters to register,

Those who have changed addresses to update their records, and

Citizens who need voter card replacements to obtain new ones.

Key Details of the CVR Exercise:

Online Pre-Registration: Begins on 18th August, 2025 via https://cvr.inecnigeria.org/home/login

Physical Registration: Commences on 25th August, 2025 at INEC offices and designated centres across Akure South and Akure North.

Comrade Oluleye noted that “Now is the time! Your vote is your power. Don’t be left out.” He further urged all indigenes and residents of Akure to mobilize their families, friends, and communities to register, stressing that civic responsibility is a collective duty in building a stronger democracy.

The Ògo Àkúré Mandate Group reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots engagement, empowerment, and civic education for the glory and progress of Akure, Nigeria’s ancient city.
