New Era For Ondo Statistics As Olusola Ajayi Becomes 5th Statistician-General

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, has confirmed Mr. Olusola Sunday Ajayi as the State’s 5th Statistician-General.

Ajayi, a seasoned statistician, has served in an acting capacity at the Ondo State Bureau of Statistics for about a year and six months while serving in the Public Service sector for over two decades. He holds a first degree in Statistics from the University of Ilorin and a Master’s in Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

With over 20 years of leadership experience, Ajayi has provided strategic direction for the State Statistical System, economic planning, data governance, and policy advisory services. He has served as Personal Assistant to the former Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget and was the focal person for the Economic Governance Component – UNDP 7th country program (2013-2015).

Ajayi, 53, from Erusu Akoko, is married with children and has authored several research publications.
