My Dream Is to Play for Nigeria Like Osimhen and Mikel,Says Rising Midfielder Isaac Adebisi

Promising Nigerian youngster Isaac Adebisi has opened up about his football journey and his deep admiration for Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen and Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel, calling them major influences in his life both on and off the pitch.

In an exclusive chat with www.blitziksports.com, the talented 15-year-old defensive midfielder expressed his burning ambition to represent Nigeria on the international stage and follow in the footsteps of his football idols.

Adebisi, a product of the Kwara Football Academy and a former player with Kwara United’s feeder team, credits Mikel Obi for shaping his understanding of the midfield role and Osimhen for inspiring his mentality.

“I’ve always looked up to John Obi Mikel,” Adebisi said. “He’s my role model, and I try to learn from how he played and carried himself as a professional.”

“Victor Osimhen also inspires me a lot—his energy, his passion for the game, and how he celebrates his goals with such emotion. His fighting spirit and love for Nigeria really push me to dream big.”

Currently playing for Young Star FC in Kogi State, Adebisi is targeting a call-up to Nigeria’s U15 or U17 national team, a path once followed by both Mikel and Osimhen in their rise to stardom. He also revealed his admiration for 2024/25 NPFL champions Remo Stars, whom he dreams of representing in the near future.

A recent graduate of Aunty Cama International College, Isanlu, Kogi State, Adebisi remains optimistic about the future of Nigerian football.

“I believe the Super Eagles will rise again and be ranked among the top footballing nations in the world, especially at the World Cup,” he said confidently.
