LG Thank-You Tour: Aiyedatiwa Warns Against Infighting, Rallies APC Support for Tinubu 2027
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has again cautioned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against internal rancour, warning that infighting could weaken the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Gov’ Aiyedatiwa made this known in Akure, the state capital, during the grand finale of his statewide “Thank-You” tour across the 18 local government areas.
The governor dressed in native attire stressed that party supremacy would ultimately determine those who would fly the APC’s flag in upcoming elections.
He also called on the people who gathered in their thousands to rally behind President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027, describing the President as the best choice in reshaping nigeria’s economy
The event, which drew large crowd in Akure South Local Government saw key members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) formally defected to the ruling party.

Welcoming the new members, Governor Aiyedatiwa urged them to integrate fully into the party and work collectively for the success of the APC in the 2027 elections.
Earlier, the APC Vice Chairman in the state, Atili Ikoto -Agabra urged members to be more dedicated and committed to the laws of the party.
In his vote of thanks, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, praised the governor’s infrastructural moves in Akure, describing the scale of development in the state capital as unprecedented.
Those in attendance included the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami; the Chief of Staff, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon Sunday Olajide; Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Engr Leye Akinola, the Executive Director (Corporate Affairs) of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde as well as other party leaders.
