The Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Pipeline Surveillance and Waterway Security, Hon. (Engr.) Alore Omosuyi, has visited Ugbo-Nla community to restore peace following a violent clash between two groups.

According to the Baale of Ugbo-Nla, Chief Ebiwano Adebowale, the crisis began when the head of Zion, Most Rt. Rev. Mobolorunduro Henry, and his followers chanted in a riotous manner, declaring that “there is no more Baale in Ugbo-Nla” after rumors spread about the alleged joining the ancestors of the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom.
However, Mr. Taye Jedo, who identified himself as the Registrar of the School of Theology, Ugbo-Nla Zion, provided a different account which claimed that community youths were engaged in a procession for a choristers’ anniversary celebration when they were allegedly attacked by the Baale and his supporters, sparking the conflict.
Meanwhile,Hon. Omosuyi assured residents of their safety and urged both parties to maintain peace while the government works to resolve the matter swiftly. He emphasized that security agencies would ensure the protection of lives and property.

Attempts to meet with the King of Zion for comments were unsuccessful as at the time of filing in this report.
Meanwhile, the clash has reportedly resulted in one casualty, identified as Mr. Bababo Lowo, a.k.a. Oyinbo.
In a related development, one person, Ebiwano Bolaji Ipenko, is hospitalized, and another, Mr. Niran Erayetan, has been reported missing, according to unverified information from the Baale’s group.
Relevant authorities have promised to investigate the incident and take necessary steps to prevent further violence.
