Gov. Aiyedatiwa Flags Off Dualisation of Oke-Aro–Idanre Road, Vows To Complete Other Road Projects
Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing rapid infrastructural development across all sectors to boost the state’s economy.
Governor Aiyedatiwa made this known during the flag-off ceremony of the dualisation of the Oke-Aro–Idanre Road (Phase 1).
Governor Aiyedatiwa, while expressing his determination to transform the state, said the dual carriageway would serve as a vital link to the famous Idanre Hills, thereby boosting tourism, creating jobs for youths, and enhancing accessibility. He assured that the project would be completed on schedule stressing that all other inherited and ongoing road projects would be completed by his administration.

In their goodwill messages, the member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Festus Akingbaso, and the Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Mr. Gbenga Fasua, commended the governor’s initiative saying the dualisation would transform the two communities, ease transportation, and transform economic activities.
Speaking on the details of the project, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Infrastructure, Land, and Housing, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, said the road would include walkways, solar-powered streetlights, and traffic lights.

Also, the Director of the construction company, Mr. Marcel Alrouss, assured the public of a high-quality job and called for residents’ cooperation to meet the project deadline.
Prominent personalities present at the flag-off ceremony included the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, political appointees, Monarchs and religious leaders led by the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi and Pastor Samson Ogunmodede.
