ENTERTAINMENT: Popular Broadcaster, Ighoteguono Bags Ondo State Media Personality Of The Year Award

The Head of Station, Crest 106.1FM, Akure, Mr Godday Ighoteguono, has bagged “The Ondo State Media Personality of the Year” award for the year 2023.

The award was presented to him by foremost veteran broadcaster, Tolu Adedayo, on behalf of KaMT Media World in Celebration of Adekunle Adewumi Kekeawada’s 20 Years Behind the Microphone.

The elaborate ceremony, held at Fafun Event Centre along Ondo road in Akure, the state capital, had in attendance Veteran Broadcasters, Clergymen, Captains of Industries and other dignitaries from various walks of life.

The event also had the Chief Operating Officer, Crest Media Group, Mr Adeolu Gboyega, speak as one of the Guest Lecturers on the topic: “Broadcasting beyond Profession”, where he charged broadcasters to be in tune with the 21st century broadcasting techniques.

Speaking after bagging the award at the event, Godday thanked the organizers of the event for the recognition, assuring them that the honour, being a call to better service, will spur him to do more.

Also at the event, a non-profit organization, Kekeawada Foundation, aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the masses was launched.

Adekunle Adewumi Kekeawada, an astute broadcaster, dogged, dutiful, trustworthy and highly respectful, started his broadcast journey 20 years ago, a milestone well celebrated at the colorful event.
