EDUCATION: Gov’Aiyedatiwa Approves Payment Of Bursary, Scholarship

Ondo state governor Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the payment of bursaries and scholarships to the students of the state origin in tertiary institutions and the Nigerian Law Schools.

The Governor announced this while addressing a students stakeholders at his office in Akure.

The student leaders included officers of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), National Association of University Students (NAUS), National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS), National Female Students Association and indigenous student associations in the State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa said the process for the payment of the bursaries and scholarships which already started would be completed in a few weeks before the disbursement.

Some other needs addressed by the governor included the provision of buses for student bodies, enhancement of electricity supply and security on campuses with an assurance of more commitment at prioritizing education.

Earlier, the president and representative of the various student union which included Mr Hammed Oyelade, Mr Abiola Victor Mr Greatness Akerele declared their support for the Governor, promising not to join the planned protests in the State.
