EASTER MESSAGE: Be Compassionate, Forgiving, Adetimehin Urges Christians
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has admonished Christians to always ensure that their lives and actions reflect the virtues of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This was contained in the party’s message to Christians, as they roll out the drums to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and victory over death.
State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, on behalf of the party commended Christians for their focus, steadfastness and commitment to humanity.
The chairman charged the faithful to sustain the virtues that Jesus was known for, which include unconditional love, peaceful disposition, forgiveness, kindness and compassion for neighbours at all times.
He is hopeful that the joyous mood of Easter celebration would engender unity and cooperation among all Nigerians, irrespective of religious, political or ethnic divides.
Adetimehin expressed appreciation for the consistent support the ruling party has thus far enjoyed from Christian leaders and believers generally in Ondo State, and appealed for continued cooperation in the interest of overall development.
He explained that the Government of Ondo State is committed to development across the State without bias, saying the current budget is an indicator.
The APC chieftain said, “We must continue to defend and support our government; our State, and our party. I assure you that we can go places with unity of purpose and peace in the land.”
Calling on leaders to extend hands of support to the less privileged through acts of kindness and charity, the ruling party wishes Christians a wonderful Easter celebration.
