DR PAUL AKINTELURE- A Legacy Of Loyalty And Faithfulness
The untimely death, on Tuesday 26th March 2024, of Otunba (Dr) Paul Akintelure has left a huge void in the lives of his family members and Political associates alike.
Until his death, he was a successful medical practitioner and entrepreneur. He was the Otunba of Osooro as well as the Otunba of Ikaleland and more importantly, he was the most favored to win the forthcoming governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, a political party that he painstakingly helped to form.
He was also a very generous philanthropist who has trained over one hundred Nigerians to University level. He has also used his medical profession to help numerous Ondo state indigenes by offering free medical care to Ondo state citizens in his hospital in Lagos as well as embarking on an annual free surgery for his people in the Okitipupa area of Ondo State. Indeed, Otunba(Dr) Paul Akintelure was a governor Ondo state never had. He would have been a governor with a human face.
We the members of his family and members of his political organization, with presence in every political ward of the state have accepted the philosophy that death is a necessary end which must come to every mortal someday, but we have also resolved that his good legacies must not die with him. DPA MUST LIVE ON.
HIS LEGACIES: DPA symbolizes a legacy of service to humanity, a legacy of humility, sincerity, reliability, truthfulness and LOYALTY.
He exhibited absolute loyalty to now President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during their over three decades of relationship. He was very consistent and faithful to the party right from the era of Aliance for democrary(AD) to the present APC even when things were not going his way. He told us that he will always abide by the decision of president Tinubu and the APC.
RESOLUTIONS:
In view of our desire to ensure that the legacy of Otunba (Dr) Paul Akintelure lives on, we have resolved as follows;
- That the DPA Campaign Organization and all DPA Support Groups will remain intact and support the APC in the forth coming governorship elections in November 2024.
- That we members of the DPA Campaign Organization and all DPA Support Groups will remain loyal to President Bola Tinubu and the APC by supporting any candidate that is put forward for the governorship elections in November 2024.
- That we will await further directives from president Bola Tinubu and the APC national chairman.
