Don’t Be A Rubber Stamp Assembly,SDP Tells Ondo State Lawmakers
As the 10th state Assembly resumes legislative duty on Monday ,the Social Democratic Party SDP ,in ondo state has urged them to be good ambassadors of their people.
The charge was made in a statement issued by the state chairman of the party ,Hon Stephen Adewale ,that the people of their constituents entrust in them their votes , therefore ,they should not turn themselves to rubber-stamp like the 9th members of the assembly.
Adewale said further that , the people of the state will definately be expecting nothing below good performance, as one good turn deserves another.
” it is a good thing that the country is experiencing transition from one civilian rule to the other as well, the law makers in the state should wake up to their task’
“they should all be ready to serve and represent diligently rather than being a rubber stamp or sell out”
The party chairman therefore urged them to legislate on policies that are peoples oriented and accepted by all.
It would be recalled that the 10th Assembly was inaugurated at the weekend where Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji from Ondo East emerged the speaker.
