DJAN Ondo Elects New Executives, DJ Otentik Emerges Chairman

The Ondo State chapter of the Disc Jockey Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has elected new executives to pilot its affairs, with Akinkuehin Dayo Johnson, popularly known as DJ Otentik, emerging as the new State Chairman.

The election was held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Lande Hotel in Ondo City under the supervision of an independent Electoral Committee, chaired by Kayode Kikiowo (DJ Kaykang), with Dayo Emmanuel Owoeye (DJ Treasure) as vice chairman, and Adeboyejo Busayo (DJ Pompin Lue) as member.

A total of 59 votes were expected, comprising 37 delegate votes from the eight branch units across the state and 22 votes from aspirants.

In the chairmanship contest, DJ Otentik polled 29 votes to defeat Innocent Nnamdi Agbara (DJ Hyno), who secured 22 votes. Eight votes were declared void.

Other winners included DJ Tommy (Vice Chairman), DJ Bvee (General Secretary), DJ Spark (Financial Secretary), DJ Boi Rapper (PRO), DJ Google (Welfare Officer), DJ Jaido (Provost 1), DJ Person (Provost 2), DJ Slimcious (Publicity Secretary), and DJ Skuri (Director of Social). Unopposed positions were won by DJ Chidone (Assistant Secretary) and DJ Classic (Treasurer).

External observer, Okeowo Rashid (DJ Afrika), commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise, while the electoral committee declared the election free, fair, and credible.

The committee congratulated all winners and urged contestants to join hands in moving the association forward.
