Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has been commended for his open-door leadership style and ability to connect with ordinary citizens without barriers an approach that has continued to endear him to the people of the state.
Speaking with journalists in Akure, an aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr. James Adefila, described the governor’s recent Supreme Court victory as not only a political triumph but also a reflection of the trust and confidence reposed in him by the people.
According to Mr Adefila, the governor’s humility and accessibility were clearly demonstrated at the Government House, where artisans, party loyalists, and other citizens were able to share lunch with him freely, without restrictions.
“If the governor was not performing well, you would not see ordinary people running into the Government House to dine with him without barricades or rigid protocols. This is exemplary leadership,” he noted.
He further praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s developmental strides across all parts of the state, adding that the prevailing peace in Ondo State was a product of his inclusive and people-centered leadership style.
On his own political ambition, Mr Adefila explained that his aspiration to serve at the State House of Assembly was motivated by a desire to provide competent representation. He stressed that laws must be tailored to promote rapid development, improve the welfare of the people, and strengthen collaboration with the executive arm of government.
“My people will enjoy leadership that is capable, humble, and responsive. I intend to ensure my constituency benefits from projects that uplift lives and strengthen our state,” he added.
