Gov Aiyedatiwa flags off construction of houses for cabinet members promise to address housing deficit

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa says he will construct modern estates across the state to bridge the housing deficit.

Governor Aiyedatiwa gave the assurance during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of thirty-two four-terrace buildings for cabinet members in the state.

He explained that the project would feature twenty-eight units complemented by exclusive stand-alone apartments, a dining area, lounge, Olympic-standard swimming pool and other modern facilities.

Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that similar projects would be extended to other arms of government, including legislators, civil servants, and eventually the general public.

He also urged the contractors to ensure timely delivery of the project.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Land and Housing, Mr. Abiola Olawoye and the Chairman of the House Committee on Land and Housing, Mr. Abiola Oladejo described the project as a “legacy initiative” that reflected the governor’s dedication to infrastructural development.

On his part the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his foresight and other projects in Akure and other major towns in the state.
