24-Year-Old Woman Arrested For Allegedly Killing Boyfriend In Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 24year-old lady, Augustina Mowarin who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in Okitipupa.

Augustina was alleged to have stabbed her partner, one Michael Ikuedowoni to death due to a misunderstanding fuelled by infidelity allegation.

Confirming the arrest, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Lawal Adebowale, told newsmen in Akure at the weekend that the incident occured over two weeks before it was reported to the police.

According to the Police Commissioner, the suspect was relocated to Irele police Division from Okitipupa to prevent mob action and later transferred to the State CID in Akure for further investigation and prosecution.

CP Lawal, also announced the arrest of some suspects in connection with different crimes across the state including foiling an attempted Jungle Justice in Ondo Town where hospital was attacked by irate Okada riders.

The angry reaction followed earlier killing of Okada Rider at Yaba area of Ondo town by the notorious motorcycle snatcher.

The Commissioner also lamented influx of illegal foreigners in the state, noting that ten of such illegal immigrants had been arrested at Oda area of Akure.
