Governor Aiyedatiwa Commissions Key Road Project to Mark 100 Days in Office
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has commissioned the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Stadium/Hospital Road in Ondo City as part of activities marking his first 100 days in office.
The project, located in Ondo West Local Government Area, was described by the Governor as a milestone in his administration’s drive to enhance infrastructure and improve quality of life for residents.
Highlighting the significance of the road, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized its role in connecting communities to vital healthcare facilities, including the General Hospital and the Ondo State University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital.
The governor noted that the road’s poor condition had previously hindered access, especially for emergency services, and said the reconstruction reflects his administration’s commitment under the “OUR EASE” Agenda.
In his remarks, Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, praised the Governor for addressing Ondo’s infrastructure deficit and confirmed that several other roads in Ondo City are currently under construction. Lawmakers and local officials also expressed gratitude, describing the project as a fulfillment of campaign promises and a reflection of responsive leadership.
Traditional leaders, represented by High Chief Simeon Oguntimehin on behalf of the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, commended the Governor’s efforts and encouraged continued public support. The event was attended by top state officials, traditional rulers, and political figures, all celebrating what they called a significant step toward the state’s transformation.
