Gov’ Aiyedatiwa Denies Free School Shuttle Suspension, Strengthens Program With Five More Buses

The Ondo State Government has clarified that there are no plans to suspend the free shuttle bus scheme for secondary school students.

Speaking on a forum program in Akure, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan informed that the temporary delays affecting the service had been resolved.

He confirmed that the buses were now back on the roads, continuing to provide free transportation for students in public schools.

Prince Adeniyan revealed that Governor Aiyedatiwa had even expanded the initiative by adding more buses to the existing fleet while also extending it to other major towns in the state .

Addressing questions about the Light Up Akure project, the CPS disclosed that the government was making progress on the second phase of the project by connecting the streetlights to the national grid, removal of aging poles and ensuring necessary upgrades to ensure security of lives of the people.
