Relief As Akure Residents Experience First Rain Of 2025

Residents of Akure,the Ondo State capital, heaved a sigh of relief on Tuesday night as they experienced the first rainfall of 2025.

The rain, which began at around 10:40 p.m., was preceded by flashes of slight lightning before it finally poured suddenly to the admiration of many.

Before the downpour, residents had endured intense heat caused by the scorching sun typical of the season.

According to thenewspatriot.com the rain was reported across several areas, including Ondo Road, Aule, Oyemekun, Arakale, Oshinle, and Hospital Road, among others, bringing much-needed comfort to the city.
