ONDO 2024: Ex Council Chairmen In Ondo State Declares Support For Aiyedatiwa

Forum of former local government chairmen in Ondo State on Tuesday, declared their support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

They made this pledge during a courtesy visit led by Engr. Alex Oladimeji, former Ifedore local government chairman to the Governor in his office.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa while appreciating their visit, noted that victory is assured in the November 16 poll, stressing that other political parties would not be underrated.

The Governor said the progressive party would put in his best towards returning victorious in the Guber Poll.

Governor Aiyedatiwa acknowledged their pledge to support him, adding that they would be actively involved in the campaign. “Be rest assured that you will be carried along, you are important to the party because they have your own followers as well”.

The Governor, however, noted that he has no grudges against them most especially during and after the APC Primaries on April 20

Earlier in his address, the former Chairman, Ifedore local government, Hon. Alex Oladimeji, who led other former Chairmen to the Governor’s office pledged their loyalty to Aiyedatiwa’s Government, stressing that they are ready to work for him for his success.

Oladimeji said all the ex-Council bosses are fully ready to canvass vote for the Governor and wishes to be actively carried along in the Campaign processes

He thanked the Governor for releasing their utility vehicles to them as take-home package and also, for the appointment of one of them, Former Akure South Local Government Chairman, Mr. Gbenga Olaniyi as Commissioner of Urban and Regional Planning, saying is a testament of fulfillment of his promises.

In attendance were; Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, Commissioner for information, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Commissioner for Physical planning and urban development, Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi.
