I’m Back : Dangote Signals Return To Ondo Olokola Free Trade Zone As Gov’ Aiyedatiwa Seeks More Partnership

Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has expressed readiness to return to Ondo State and participate in the development of the Olokola Free Trade Zone.

He also announced plans to establish gas-related infrastructure in the state to boost the local economy saying that his technical team would commence preliminary work on the project within the next four months.

Alhaji Dangote made this known during a reception for him by Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa in Akure.

In an address, Mr Aiyedatiwa too expressed the state’s readiness to partner with the business mongul to revive the Olokola Free Trade Zone and expand investment opportunities across the state.

He told the industrialist that his administration was in full support facilitating projects that would drive economic growth and job creation in the state.

Governor Aiyedatiwa also urged Alhaji Dangote to consider investing in the Okeluse cement deposit site and other strategic areas, including the state’s extensive coastline.

He disclosed that the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project would further position Ondo State as a key economic hub connecting the South-West and South-East regions of the country.

The meeting was witnessed by some political and technical personnel from the Dangote group and the Ondo state government including the deputy governor Dr Olayide Adelami, commissioner for finance Mrs Omowunmi Isaac among others.
