Residents of Akure, the Ondo State capital, turned out in large numbers to benefit from a free medical outreach facilitated by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Mobilisation Dr Bayo Olatunji.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with Victory Sanctuary Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Lekki, Lagos, with the theme “BETTER LIFE FOR CITY PEOPLE” was aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services, particularly for underserved members of the community.
The outreach featured a team of volunteer medical professionals who provided a wide range of services including general consultations, blood pressure checks, eye screenings, dental care, and distribution of essential medications.
Some beneficiaries Alhaja Kikelomo Bakare and Mr Rotimi Olajuyigbe expressed gratitude for the initiative and the church noting that it came at a critical time when many could not afford quality healthcare due to rising economic challenges.
In her remarks, a representative of Victory Sanctuary Seventh-Day Adventist Church Dr Mrs Jumoke Akinwumi highlighted the church’s dedication to service beyond the pulpit, while pastor Bukola Ajide emphasized that the outreach aligns with its mission to care for both the spiritual and physical needs of the people.

The Chairman of the day Dr Gbenga Fasua (Chairman Akure South Local Government) appreciated the organizer and could not contain his joy,that the venue of the program within his constituency.
Special guests at the program were the Commosiner for health Dr Banji Ajaka who advised beneficiaries to key into Governments health program called oranges, Commissioner for environment ,Dr Tob Loko, SA on Union matters and special duties Engr Bola Taiwo and TUC chairman Pastor Clement Fatuase.
The event was concluded with health education sessions, prayers, surprise gifts and palliatives leaving a lasting impact on the community.
